The Covington Concert Band is a community organization sponsored by the Northshore Music Alliance, a 501(c)(3) charity organization. It comprises local musicians from all corners of Southeastern Louisiana, from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and our beloved Northshore. The band members volunteer their time and musical talent to this effort and come from all walks of life, making this a true community endeavor.
Our biggest current need is a concert bass drum. This large drum (36″ dia. x 22″) will be used at weekly rehearsals and performances. Ninety-nine percent of our repertoire can’t be performed without one. Currently, we are using a very old and tattered converted marching bass drum for this purpose.
